In 2024, I chose the word, liberate, but in the thick of challenges, the word never took root. That is, until October, the same month we sold our house, when I began to feel more liberated and hopeful.
It was in those moments of liberation, I came to realize *I* did not choose the word; He did. His timing would thus reveal when it would bloom!
Leaping Into New Adventure
In October, our house sold, and life accelerated as we navigated negotiations, inspections and contracts! We turned our ship into new seas where vision and purpose once again were in view. Change was afoot and new petals of hope began to emerge from the garden of dreams and goals.
And as is our M.O., we leapt into the next adventurous chapter. We decided to sell virtually all of our belongings (furniture, et al) and downsize into our RV. We dreamed, planned and executed on a lifestyle that would enable the freedom – the liberation – to move and work about the U.S., and among family and friends, with fewer obstacles.
And now, nearly 2 months into our new lifestyle, we’ve adopted new habits, routines and mindsets that further liberated headspace, clarity and decision-making. (More on the habits and routines in future posts.)
Sunsetting My Seashell Jewelry
One of the decisions to refocus energy and elevate results is that I will no longer make and sell seashell jewelry over at my Life’s a Beach-Texas site; however, the Facebook page and Etsy shop will remain ‘live’ and continue to provide space for ‘poetically beachy’ conversations, including my book, Poems of Hope, featured on Etsy and elsewhere.
Reenergizing My Writing
As 2024 concludes, and I look toward a more optimistic 2025, I am fully focused on rejuvenating all things writing, with my CareerTrend business at the center, an enterprise that I have nurtured from internet infancy 27 years ago to its present visibility.
With renewed vigor and with some of the most heart-centered and vigorously driven senior-level and C-suite clients, I feel reenergized.
Moreover, I want to liberate space to imbibe in the needed writing fuel for excellence in production, not only in CareerTrend but also in sister company I Want To Write for You, where (Rob and) I merge professional and creative content to deliver uniquely empowering stories and poetic musings.
Centering Energy + Heart on the Right Things
Continuing the drive toward a more minimalist lifestyle (in re: to physical objects and areas of mental focus), aims at a deeper, more colorful and excellence-driven canvas of opportunity in regard to relationships, work and restoration.
In 2025, I’m striving to persist in downsizing, focusing, refocusing and centering energy, heart and spirit on the right things, alongside my husband, and in the company of family, friends and clients.
As such, my word for the NEW year is, well, “PERSIST.“
